Welcome
The Research Mobilities in Primary Literacy Education project (2022-2024) investigated teachers’ experiences of research, the kinds of literacy research that they encounter, and how literacy research moves to, among and around teachers.
The project involved primary teachers from across England as well as educational leaders, researchers, policy makers and representatives form a range of educational and research organisations. It was a collaboration between Professor Cathy Burnett and Dr Gill Adams from Sheffield Hallam University, Professor Julia Gillen from Lancaster University and Dr Terrie Lynn Thompson from Stirling University.
The project focused on teachers’ encounters with literacy research in the primary phase but the recommendations are also relevant to other phases, curricular subjects and aspects of the teaching role. Read about our findings here.
