Get Involved

Are you a primary teacher working in England with an interest in literacy/English?

If so, you may be interested in participating in our research project, Research Mobilities in Primary Literacy Education, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (project reference: ES/W000571/1) which runs from January 2022-January 2024. We want to find out about teachers’ experiences of accessing, engaging with or exchanging research linked to primary literacy/English.

WHO

We want to involve teachers with a particular interest in the teaching of literacy/English from different types of primary schools and areas of England. You do not have to be a literacy/English specialist or have any leadership responsibilities for English/literacy in your school in order to take part. You may be a relatively new teacher or someone who has been teaching for many years.

INVOLVEMENT

Participating teachers will be invited to join an introductory research meeting. They will also log their encounters with research and return to discuss these with other teacher participants and project researchers in a focus group. After several weeks, participants will be invited to either a final focus group or an individual interview to discuss their encounters with literacy research. The introductory meeting, focus groups and interviews will take place online and after school. In total we anticipate that participation will involve approximately 4-6 hours between mid-September and December 2022
