Workshop: Inclusive Hacking
Friday 5th July 13.15 – 14.45
Led by Julia Cassim
One stage of the Inclusive Design Challenge involves intense brainstorming between the design partners and the cross-disciplinary team of designers and clinicians. Inevitably the failure of the designed world to meet the needs or aspirations of those whom is marginalises comes under the spotlight and becomes grist to the inspirational mill of the final design concepts proposed by the teams.
This workshop will enable participants to propose new inclusive iterations for much loathed products through the medium of hacking.
Participants are invited to bring to the workshop products that they loathe – not merely dislike – but hate with a passion. During the workshop they will brainstorm in groups and construct new improved versions for them using the materials provided and present their brave new models.
This workshop is open to all delegates – no sign up is required.
