Design For Health journal

Design For Health is an international refereed journal covering all aspects of design in the context of health and wellbeing. The journal provides a forum for design and health scholars, design professionals, health-care practitioners, educators, and managers worldwide.

The Journal is published three times per year by world-leading academic and professional publisher Taylor & Francis Online. The latest published papers are available here.

The journal aims to publish thought-provoking work based on rigorous research and invites high quality, original submissions that make a contribution to knowledge and practice in the context of the design of health products, services, and interventions that promote dignity and enhance quality of life.

We invite the following submission types:

  • Standard articles of between 5,000 and 7,000 words.
  • Book / Exhibition Review Articles of 1500 to 2000 words of relevant books, exhibitions or events.
  • Visual Essays of up to 2000 words.
  • Project Report / Case Studies describing current practice, of 2000 to 5000 words.

N.b. all word counts include all text, including References, tables, captions and biographies.
