Design4Health2020 Amsterdam: 1st – 3rd July 2020

Message from the organisers at Lab4Living, WAAG-CARE, University of Twente and the University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam NL:

It seems we are living through extraordinary and unprecedented times. COVID-19 is moving quickly and many countries are now in lockdown. We are hearing from many of our friends and colleagues of impossibly challenging situations. Our priority is your health and the wellbeing of our design4health community.

In light of this we have taken the decision not to proceed with the conference this year.

We recognise that many have put time and effort into crafting submissions and in view of this we will invite those with accepted abstracts to submit full papers (if personal circumstances allow) for review. Accepted papers will be published in online proceedings on 1st July. We will also mark the event on the day that it would have taken place with a number of online activities. We will share more details as soon as we can.

At this point we are sadly unable to accommodate those with poster submissions or exhibits but acknowledge your valued input.

As things hopefully begin to resolve we will look to the future and think how to move forward. We will update you on those ideas.

We express our deep appreciation of all the input you have offered, and send you and your families our very best at this time.

The future is now!

The 6th European Design4Health conference will no longer be hosted as a physical event in Amsterdam from 1st to 3rd July 2020. However, there will be published online proceedings and some limited online activities to mark the first day of the conference.

This year, we invited submissions which consider the role of design in the future of health and care.
