📢 We’re Hiring: Technical Specialist (Research) – Evaluation of Body Measurement Methods [CLOSES 06/09/26]

I’m excited to be recruiting for a Technical Specialist to join our UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship project Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) at Sheffield Hallam University.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of new body measurement methods to assess children’s health, working as part of a multidisciplinary research team using innovative measurement technologies and research approaches. The role is 0.6 FTE (22.2 hours per week) and funded for three years through UKRI.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with people, and is passionate about supporting high-quality research. Experience in research data collection, equipment management, data quality assurance, and working with children or participants from diverse backgrounds would be particularly valuable. More so, experience in anthropometry / DEXA / body composition/ deuterium dilution / blood sampling – but not essential as training will be provided on the specific methods and technologies used within the project.

If you, or someone in your network, would be interested in helping shape the future of child health assessment research, we’d love to hear from you. Please share with anyone who may be interested!
