The history of SWIPE and its progress The project emerged out of existing European collaborations and its development through both new and old partners was facilitated by European funding which allowed for Organisational Mobility visits prior to writing the project bid. The working structure has consisted of four international meetings, local networks, communication between partners and within the universities to plan, develop and pilot learning materials and resources. Local networks of practice educators, students and where possible service users, alongside national events, has ensured that the developments were nationally relevant and were disseminated. The international meetings gave direction and the opportunity for partners to learn from each of the national contexts.
