Socrates- Erasmus - European funding
What is SWIPE? SWIPE is a two year Curriculum Development Project funded through the European Union Socrates Erasmus Action. The title of the project 'Cross-national Practice Learning Curriculum for Social Professionals' has been shortened to the acronym SWIPE (Social Work International Practice Education).
The six participating universities:
Sheffield Hallam University in the UK (lead university)
Lund University in Sweden
Oslo University College in Norway
Tartu University in Estonia
Utrecht Hogeschool in the Netherlands
Vilnius University in Lithuania
The project builds upon prior shared experiences of overseas practice learning and is supported by Socrates Erasmus bi-lateral agreements which have provided funding for staff and student mobility. The six universities represent some of the diversity within Europe in terms of the impact of globalisation and the differing historical traditions of social work.
