Ivan Phelan is a Research Associate working in the area of Games Development at Sheffield Hallam University. He has worked in industry for over 10 years as a Software Engineer in the private and public sector using numerous programming languages. His main focus is on design and development of virtual reality applications using innovative technology to produce new experiences. His work in game development has won him awards from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Sheffield Hallam’s Creative Spark and GamesRepublic via Rockstar Games. Currently he is developing virtual reality systems for military medical training, prosthetics training, phantom limb training and various 3D applications for multinational companies such as Mondelez, RSLSteeper.
