Erasmus Plus – (ISM-KA)

International Security Management Knowledge Alliance (ISM-KA)

The ISM-KA is an EU funded Erasmus+ project led by CESAM (Centre of Excellence in Public Safety Management) at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. CENTRIC will work in conjunction with CESAM, the Emergency Planning Society, Initiatives, FORMIT, Lapprand Conseil International, the Dutch Police Academy, Estoril Global and the Institute for Public Security of Catalonia to develop, create and trial a multi-disciplinary, security-based, accredited MSc programme underpinned by the desire to facilitate joined-up collaborative solutions to tackle a wide range of security threats.

The programme will contribute to the development and professionalization of leadership, innovation and operational proficiency in the field of safety and security utilising multi-stakeholder involvement, evidence based management, co-creation, international perspectives, and policy practice alignment. As well as a master’s programme, the project will carry out horizon scanning of current and future security threats and developments, the creation of a knowledge exchange platform for both public and private security experts, the compilation of security issues to feed  into a MOOC enabling the research to reach the wider general public.
