Rail and road links

The 2018 conference takes place at:
Heart of the Campus,
Collegiate Crescent,
Sheffield S10 2BP.

Here’s a map of the university’s Collegiate Crescent campus.

By Rail
Regular inter-city services operate between Sheffield and other main line towns and cities. London (St Pancras) is two-and-a-half hours away by train. Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham are one hour away and Edinburgh four hours.

For Design4Health2018, you can arrange a discount on East Midlands train services between London and Sheffield via the D4H Accommodation page or contact jane.tompkins@marketingsheffield.org for assistance.

Sheffield Station is just a two minute walk away from our City Campus and the nearby Transport Interchange links you directly to our other campus at Collegiate Crescent. As you exit the station, walk past the fountain and cross the road. Follow the walkway towards the city centre and you will see the City Campus buildings just ahead of you.

By Road
Sheffield’s motorway link is the M1 (Junctions 33 and 34). You are recommended to leave at Junction 33 and proceed into the city centre by way of the Parkway (A630).

Sheffield’s National coach service for long distance travel is comprehensive and efficient. The central pick up and terminal point is at the Transport Interchange next to the University campus.

Car Parking
There is no parking on campus, and on-street parking is very limited. If you are driving, we recommend that you start your day at City Campus if possible, as parking in the city centre is much easier than at Collegiate Campus. We have parking discounts at two city centre car parks. We can arrange parking for disabled visitors – please contact us at events@shu.ac.uk well in advance of the conference.
