EFQM Education Community of Practice
Athens, Greece, 13-15 October 2004 
This meeting of the Community of Practice was held in Athens, Greece at the Hellenic Management Association (HMA) in Athens and hosted by Professor Nikos Avlonas. Nikos is an advisor to EFQM on Corporate Social Responsibility.
Mike Pupius, Chair of the EFQM Education Community of Practice, provide two presentations to the group:

Nikos Avlonas built on the discussions we had at our last meeting on Corporate Social Responsibility. He was a member of the team that produced the EFQM Guidelines for CSR (PDF 1MB).
Dr Peter Cullen, Head of Research and Policy Analysis, Higher Education and Training Awards Council, provided a presentation on the challenges of accreditiation within Europe.
John Swanwick of the Open University in the UK provided an interesting session on the Fundamental Concepts of Excellence. John is member of the international team that EFQM has set up to review these and the Excellence Model.
Carolina Sanchez, EFQM Public Sector, provided an update of current EFQM activities.
