Education Community of Practice of the North (NECOP)
The group meets in the UK to share learning in the fields of organisational excellence and development, with an emphasis on the higher education sector. This is an open network and colleagues are welcome to attend and contribute.
The next meeting of ECoP (formerly the EFQM ECoP) will be a joint meeting with the newly formed "Northern ECoP" an open network based around the North of England. The meeting will be hosted by Pete Sayers at Heaton Mount, the location of the School of Management of Bradford University (http://www.brad.ac.uk/acad/management/external/heatonmount.php).
Heaton Mount has excellent accommodation and conference facilities - Bed and breakfast at Heaton Mount is £54.90 per night.
The theme for the meeting will be "Pragmatic Approaches to introducing the Principles of Excellence to Higher Education". The main meeting will be held on March 8 with an evening reception being provided at Heaton Mount on March 7. Pete will be organising a dinner in local curry restaurant on March 8 and an optional visit to Saltaire, a local heritage centre. Heaton Mount is on a direct bus route from Leeds/Bradford airport and a 10 minute taxi ride from the railway station. There is ample parking.
