This meeting was held at the University of Bergen, Norway and was hosted by Edmund Utne, Deputy Director of the Division of Academic Affairs. The meeting was kindly sponsored by:
Two main topics were introduced, Benchmarking and Partnership, by Mike Pupius, Chair of the Education Community of Practice, who set the scene with a short introduction to Benchmarking.
Contributions were recieved from Professor Ivar Bleiklie and Associate Professor Tor Halvorsen from the Department of Administration and Organisation Theory at the University of Bergen. They provided a paper on a research project involving two South African universities and a Norwegian university.
Dr John Carlisle, an associate of the Centre for Integral Excellence provided a stimulating session on partnerships and behaviours and Gyongyver Hervai Szabo shared the successes that have been achieved by the Kodolányi János University College (KJF), Székesfehérvár, Hungary, who are winners of the Hungarian Regional Quality Award and the IIASA-SHIBA Award.
Pete Sayers from the University of Bradford, ran an informative session on university's approach to staff surveys and perception, detailing methodology and outcomes.
