Project objectives and methods
This section provides an overview of the project objectives and the various stages we progressed through during the course of the project. A mixed methods approach was used, involving the following five stages:
- Review of the literature & preparatory work
- Mapping exercise
- In-depth case studies
- Iterative collaborative phase
- Compilation of the toolkit/guidance
Each of these stages had a number of key objectives, which are outlined in the individual sections that follow. Since the project has been completed we have been involved in some follow-on work to further explore the framework and the practicality of the toolkit resource - for details see the impact section.
