class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Taking climate action in your education setting<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Through its 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/sustainability-and-climate-change-strategy\">Climate Change and Sustainability Strategy, the Department for Education <\/a>sets out an ambition that all education settings will have a sustainability lead and climate action plan in place by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This one-day conference will support education settings, schools and trust leaders to understand the benefits of a sustainability leadership and climate action plans, support to develop a plan and identify opportunities to support their settings in <\/strong><strong>taking action<\/strong><strong> on climate change, sustainability and biodiversity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keynotes: <\/strong>Seniors Leaders from education settings and trusts in South Yorkshire and wider region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Workshops: <\/strong>Strategic support from the Department for Education funded programmes \u2018National Education Nature Park\u2019 and \u2018Climate Ambassadors\u2019, Let\u2019s Go Zero, Eco-Schools England and Academic Researchers at Sheffield Hallam University.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure considered how sustainability leadership could be structured in their setting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Started to develop an action plan for their setting and understand how to calculate their setting\u2019s carbon footprint<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Been signposted to organisations that can support them with developing climate action plans further<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identified barriers and how they could overcome them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identified funding
