Roxanne LeitÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â£o is Research Associate working in the area of Human-Computer Interaction and Design. She has extensive research experience in the area of user centred design with specific interest in assistive technology and mobile interface design. This experience spans design practice and visual design as well as human factors and usability. Her previous work concentrated on design mobile interfaces for older adults. She has experience in conducting user-research and usability evaluations of both mobile and desktop interfaces. She is currently also part of a team building a virtual reality system for military medical training, where she played an instrumental role in the initial concept development and overall system design, as well as overseeing the consideration of human factors throughout the design and development of the system and conducting iterative user-evaluations.
