Dr Katie Cutts

Katie is a lecturer in Psychology specialising in health psychology and individual differences, and is a member of the Health Psychology Research Group at Sheffield Hallam University. She completed her PhD in 2010 which focused on the role of emotional expression in the traumatic experience and efficacy of narrative disclosure as a psychosocial tool for ameliorating the associated stress. As an early career researcher and lecturer within PSP Katie is currently developing a research programme into the physiological effects of expressing trauma related emotions and the longer-term benefits of narrative therapies. Katie is a member of the British Psychological Society and of the Division of Health Psychology. She is also a member of the European Health Psychology Society.
