Alice Raven

Alice is a researcher within the Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence and Organised Crime Research (CENTRIC) Institute at Sheffield Hallam University. She is currently working on CENTRIC’s ‘Prophets’ and ‘MINDb4ACT’ projects which aim to create a safer society by tackling radicalisation and organised crime. She graduated from Newcastle University with a BA Honours in Sociology, with particular interest in criminological and technological modules. Her dissertation researched the cultural influences of gender based violence, victim blaming and power relations underlying in ‘sexting’ interactions on social media apps. She also has volunteering experience in restorative justice and children’s services. Alice hopes to further her passion and expertise in criminology and technology by undertaking a Masters in the field.
