Travelling to Sheffield

Sheffield is located within an hour from four international airports: Manchester, Doncaster Sheffield, Leeds/Bradford and East Midlands, and within one and a half hour from Birmingham International and Liverpool John Lennon airports, with excellent public transport links to all.

Manchester Airport is the largest, and usually the most likely to offer a flight option.

A direct train link between Manchester Airport and Sheffield runs every hour. Several other train connections operate via Manchester Piccadilly station. Train connections between Birmingham International Airport and Sheffield run via Birmingham New Street Station.

Independently of which airport you will fly into, we recommend booking train tickets in advance, as they are cheaper than when bought at the station. For full information on schedule and train operators, see http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

Please note that for groups of three or more delegates, taxi transfers between Sheffield and Manchester and Birmingham International airports can also be pre-booked at reasonable prices. We recommend Premier Airport Cars and City Taxis Airport Transfers. Reasonable prices apply only to pre-booked airport transfers with specialised companies, and not to taxis stationed at the airport, which will charge you significantly more for a trip to Sheffield.

Sheffield is also easily reached from within Great Britain thanks to direct train
connections to most cities, including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham. To plan your journey by train, please visit: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
