Redesigning Patient Clinical Information

A proposal for a digital SHEWS and Observations chart, that embeds connectivity, real time alerts and expanded patient information and interactivity.

The current paper system for recording patient SHEWS and observation data leaves room for human error.

In the re-imagined system, icons allow the user to see individual parts of the graph, as well as viewing patients medical history and setting reminders, teardrop alerts indicate how severe the patient’s condition is, traffic light colour systems indicates good and bad results, SHEWS chart is inputed by tapping the circles (the bigger the circle higher the score) and the horizontal line can be dragged to show results from a specific time.Other features include alerts that can be sent between staff, use of bar code scanners to enter and access patient specific data, booking tests and retrieving results based on the bar code identifier and many more.
