A prime and long standing motivation has been how to draw together art and craft, design and life experience to find new ways to solve the types of problems we encounter in our everyday lives. Seeing the world as a bed of opportunities for problem solving and being in a position to influence and change future directions for design, and our lives, is very rewarding.
For me, ten years commercial product design consultancy has combined with many of the skills and research interests I have to from a single subject area in designing for life. I am committed to the field of design, research and development, in the main 3D design and have a particular interest in the link between design innovation and sustainable design. It is my hope that I will continue to be able to hone and focus ideas and ways of thinking about apparently diverse subject matter.
