'Sheffield Hallam University has services for industry that give a real business advantage.
'The adoption of multi-disciplinary teams for project delivery has created a USP that other organisations can only envy.
'Whether through consultancy, applied research, training / education or student placements / projects, the University can make a difference.'
My career developed into generic project management, being drawn into many sectors, but particularly into food manufacture where I worked on a number of high profile projects for major companies, improving efficiency, reducing costs, improving facilities and systems, and introducing and incorporating automation and robotics in manufacture.
I have been involved with Sheffield Hallam University since 2002, in project management, but also in business development roles, working as an ambassador for the University, and a facilitator for the delivery of a range of university services in to industry.
I am an ambassador for the University in knowledge transfer facilitating improved industry engagement. I am also a staunch advocate for cross University initiatives, and drawing expertise from wherever it resides in order to form bespoke project teams to deliver client objectives.
My current role in sustainability contains all my aspirations for engaging with industry further in what is a fascinating and valuable subject area of interest to all.
