About me
I started my career as a chemical engineer and now I am more involved in energy and environmental engineering projects.
Talk to me about...
- energy from waste and incineration
- biomass, bio energy and co-combustion
- combustion, gasification and pyrolysis
- process simulation and optimisation
- pollution abatement in air, water and soil
- energy efficiency
'While there is a constant need for developing technology to answer our energy demands, it is often seen as a necessary evil using energy, resources and causing environmental concern. With judicious and responsible application, technology can solve more problems than what it creates. Looking at the big picture, it can help us move towards sustainability.'
Over the last five years, I have worked on many multidisciplinary projects with international partners from several countries including UK, France, USA, Germany and India. This rich and diverse experience has enabled me to understand the needs and constraints of industries and I have been applying my engineering, management and informatics skills to provide pragmatic solutions to real world industrial problems.
My work
The main areas of my technical expertise are energy from waste and incineration, bio-energy, biomass, pelletisation, combustion gasification and pyrolysis. I have the experience of several industrial projects concerning energy efficiency and energy recovery, process simulation and optimisation.
I have carried out feasibility studies, profit assessments and contributed to the development of pioneering technologies and patents. I have also developed bespoke software for industrial applications in the above areas as well as for combined heat and power (CHP) systems using traditional as well as modern techniques such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
My other areas of interest are flue gas treatment, waste water treatment, soil remediation and detoxification, green house gases, climate change and carbon footprints.
