About us

Hallam Energy was formed in 2008 as part of Sheffield Hallam University's commitment to the sustainability agenda, in order to transfer energy engineering knowledge from its Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI) into business and organisations.

Rapidly rising energy costs, changing EU and UK environmental legislation and policies, and increased competitiveness in a changing economic climate, has meant that organisations have an increased need to respond to various sustainability-related challenges and understand

  • how this will impact on their business practice
  • their options for the best ways forward
  • what support is available to bring about a positive change

At Hallam Energy we are focused on applying the skills and expertise developed through our research to real world problems, which is why we could help you to

  • reduce energy consumption
  • increase energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions
  • enhance corporate social responsibility
  • adopt a sustainable approach to business development

We work with a wide range of public and private sector organisations to address their needs - to explore how you could make a positive impact on your business, quality of life, or even the planet, why not get in touch to find out more?
