Building on Success

Design4Health began in July 2011, with the 2nd event taking place in July 2013. Sponsors and financial supporters of these previous events included The Health Foundation, the National Institute for Health Research, NIHR Devices for Dignity HTC, NIHR CLAHRC SY, KT-EQUAL, Creative Sheffield and Med Tech Innovations.

Each of these two previous events attracted approximately 130 paying delegates, the majority from the UK (75%), the remainder coming from roughly 15 different countries (mainly EU + Australia, China, Brazil, Canada and Hong Kong). 20% of the delegates in 2013 also attended in 2011. The delegates at both these events were roughly 50:50 across the design and health domains.

High ranking research results

By sponsoring D4H15, your organisation will be supporting one of the leaders of the pack in terms of research. In the 2015 Research Excellence Framework (REF) results, announced in December 2014, Art and Design research at Sheffield Hallam University was ranked second among 45 modern universities and in the top ten of all UK universities. Over two fifths of our research activity was rated as world leading.

Sponsor packages

At the conference, you’ll join a unique network of designers, researchers, clinicians, policy makers and users.
